Project Engineer (General)

As a project engineer at Hollman Lockers, you will provide shop drawings/submittals for contracted projects. You will need to represent the Hollman brand, and must be a team player that thrives in an analytical, fast paced atmosphere where details and accuracy are a must.

Responsibilities:
- Review sales order and construction documents and any back up from sales
- Manage, train and check drafters for accuracy and timing on all assigned projects.
- Provide shop drawings/submittals for contracted projects to meet the shipping schedule
- Build and maintain a good working relationship with architects and general contractors
- Coordinate change quotes and drawing revisions as needed
- Manage the ordering of any custom material as approved by the architect in order to meet the production /delivery schedule
- Maintain/ update CAD library of standard drawings as needed
- Manage and prioritize work based on ship schedule
- Report any issues and inaccuracies within Microvellum for improving efficiency.

Qualifications:
- College Degree
- 1 to 3 years relevant experience
- CAD/Construction knowledge
- 3D Design/Modelling experience
- Millwork/Store Fixtures experience a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive in solving problems and troubleshooting
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Above and beyond attitude

Goal:
- Ensure all jobs are received by the plants, for on time for production schedules (not rush).
- Update all job spec's and manage all job information to be complete and correct in U-factory.

Product Development Engineer

Due to continued success and expansion into new markets and technologies, we are looking for a Product Development Engineer. As part of the Product Development team, perform one or more of the following duties as assigned by a Product Development Manager or Team Lead to support the team’s goals. The successful candidate will be a team member first and foremost, but also have the ability to produce individual results.

Responsibilities – lead, participate in or support the following product development activities:
- Concept, planning, design.
- Developing project task timelines and budgets.
- Prototyping and testing concepts.
- Design verification testing.
- Product validation and usability testing.
- Contact vendors, RFI, RFQ etc.
- Pre-production testing and validation
- Assist in project planning and execution
- Specifications and Design descriptions for assigned projects, as required.
- Review product documentation for accuracy including documentation intended for customer use.
- Work in conjunction with production, CNC routers etc.
- Sheet metal experience preferred.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- AutoCad, 3D Design Software
- ERP Software
- Project Management using Gannt charts
- Microsoft Office, Excel


Technical Customer Service / Estimator

As an integral member of our sales team at Hollman, you will work with architects/owner reps during the pre-design of our high profile projects. You will need to represent the Hollman brand, and must be a team player that thrives in a fast paced atmosphere where details and accuracy are a must.

Responsibilities:
- Estimate projects from pre-design to final bid, including design concepts and functionality
- Review materials, project manuals and bid forms, including pricing and submittal procedures
- Obtains bids from vendors and sub contractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified sub contractors, price understanding
- Generate Power Point presentations, and assist with rendering and marketing for trade shows
- Source new project in all stages and build contacts of the project
- Estimate and perform job corrections/take-offs
- Makes sales calls on projects in all stages - Problems solve and project manage on a daily basis
- Close project and create submittal folders for engineering
- Conference calls and site meeting with end users
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of both industry specific as well as Hollman products and designs.

Qualifications:
- College Degree
- Prefer engineering, architectural or construction background
- Ability to calculate yield of materials, read and understand blue prints, construction documents, and project requirements
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, busy environment
- Work professionally with high profile clients

CAD Architectural Drafter/Operator

Job Description:
- Complete shop drawings using CAD assigned by Project Engineers

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree
- Knowledge of Commonly used Construction Documents (floor plans, elevations)
- AutoCAD
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- *Microvellum and/or Solid Works knowledge is a plus, not required.

Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for planning, forecasting, product buys, PO receipt management and vendor/supplier maintenance. This position will help originate and manage vendor profiles and contracts working directly with sales, customer service, project management, and operations.
 

Job Description:
- Reviews and places order for goods and services
- Complete take-offs as required
- Maintains procurement records such as purchase orders of materials/goods purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories
- Contacts vendors to negotiate prices and monitors delivery schedules and expedites delivery of priority items
- Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships
- Maintains accurate information on alternative vendors and items purchased
- Keeps abreast of market conditions and price changes
- Works closely with other departments or groups under minimal supervision
- Manage Item set up and maintenance
- Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid
- Ensure shipping and timeline compliance from supplier partners
- Work with inventory and warehouse teams to help maintain stocked inventory and seamless transition of goods
- Liaise with Accounts Payable Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
- Manage inventory levels to protect company from backorders as well as excess surplus liability
